A panel discussion titled “The Geostrategic Rivalry Between the US and China – and the Consequences for Europe” was held as part of the “World Order in Transition” workshop organized by the Bayerische Landeszentrale für politische Bildungsarbeit. The event, which took place at the Bavarian Center for Transatlantic Relations (Amerikahaus Munich), brought together experts from academia, journalism, and think tanks to examine the growing conflict between China and the US and its implications for Europe. Professor Eugénia da Conceição-Heldt participated in a panel discussion and explored various questions surrounding the conflict between China and the US, such as the possibility of military clashes and the potential for a new Cold War. Europe’s position in the conflict, given its traditionally close alliance with the US but growing economic interests in China was also part of the discussion. More information can be found here.
